My favorite meal of the day is lunch!  Now, as a full-time student, I have neither the time nor the money to  have a proper meal everyday.  So far I’ve been living off Panda, Subway, Tacone… Jamba… you know the drill.  FAT FAT FAT!!  So in an attempt to cut costs (and arterialsclerosis…), I’ve taken to making my lunch at home.  Obviously I didn’t really make them because I can’t cook.  (Workin’ on that!)  For now, they are simply bento-style meals compiled of leftovers.  My favourite cuisine being Taiwanese, of course.  Probably cuz it brings me back to childhood…  Juice box included. ;)

I usually steam the dish in my rice cooker prior to packing with 1/4 – 1/2 cup water.   You know how rice gets hard after the refrigerator?  Steaming takes care of that, and holds onto flavour and texture.   :)
